With effect from 24 February 2014, amendments to the Criminal Procedure Rules mean that deferred prosecution agreements (DPAs) have become a reality in the UK (paragraph 2, Criminal Procedure (Amendment No 2) Rules 2013 (SI 2013/3183)).
