The Law of Advertising, Marketing and Promotions

A book on the legal aspects of advertising, co-authored by Debevoise partners David H. Bernstein and Bruce P. Keller, was recently published by Law Journal Press.

Written for advertisers and their counsel, The Law of Advertising, Marketing and Promotions analyzes issues and provides specific, concrete advice about false, unfair or deceptive advertising, claim substantiation, survey evidence, clearance of advertising copy, use of third party intellectual property rights, direct marketing, sweepstakes and contests, and online advertising.

Both Bernstein and Keller are recognized as leading intellectual property litigators. Bernstein was selected by Managing Intellectual Property as the “Outstanding IP Practitioner” of the year in 2011. Keller, named again this month to The Hollywood Reporter's list of top 100 "Power Lawyers," supervises the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group. Bernstein and Keller have litigated a number of widely publicized cases on behalf of high profile clients including American Express, Bayer, Louis Vuitton, the National Football League, Novartis, Sony Pictures, and The Gap.

This is Keller’s second book. The first, Copyright Law: A Practitioner’s Guide, was co-authored by Debevoise partner Jeffrey P. Cunard, head of the firm's DC Office.

Law Journal Press publishes books, in print and in digital online and mobile formats, on a broad range of legal and business topics.
