The recent economic downturn and constrained availability of financial resources in the United States have caused U.S. airlines and financing parties involved in aircraft financings for U.S. airlines to look to new foreign financing sources. This memorandum discusses some of the documentation and legal issues that can arise when non-traditional foreign financing sources become involved in U.S. aircraft financing transactions.
