This client update discusses the March 30, 2010 N.J. Supreme Court decision in Stengart v. Loving Care Agency, Inc., which found that although employees have a reasonable expectation of privacy as to personal data on company-owned computers, employers can largely, though not completely, overcome that expectation in most cases through carefully worded policies.
