On Wednesday, the Obama Administration unveiled its proposals for financial regulatory reform, and the Department of Treasury published a White Paper entitled "Financial Regulatory Reform, a New Foundation: Rebuilding Financial Supervision and Regulation."  This client update outlines the recommendations designed to achieve these objectives, which have significant implications for hedge funds and other private funds as well as the regulation of futures and other derivatives.
