Debevoise & Plimpton LLP has received a 2023 Institutional Cornerstone Award from the Lawyers Alliance for New York. Established in 1997, the award is the highest business law pro bono honor in New York and recognizes the outstanding contributions made by law firms and in-house legal teams to nonprofits to improve the quality of life for individuals throughout the city’s low-income neighborhoods.

Lawyers Alliance noted the firm’s commitment to pro bono services, leadership and financial support of Lawyers Alliance for five decades. Over the past five years, through its partnership with Lawyers Alliance, more than 100 Debevoise attorneys have handled nearly 50 substantial legal matters for nonprofits, including Accompany Capital, Think!Chinatown, Bay Ridge Center, and Covenant Ballet Theatre of Brooklyn.
