Debevoise & Plimpton LLP partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group, Mark P. Goodman, has received The Legal Aid Society’s 2023 Servant of Justice Award at the 46th Annual Servant of Justice Awards. The award recognizes lawyers who have demonstrated a dedicated commitment to the pursuit of equitable justice and have gone “above and beyond” to support the work of The Legal Aid Society and New York City communities.
The Servant of Justice Awards Dinner is an annual fundraising benefit that supports of The Legal Aid Society’s underfunded units and projects, including critical legal services programs that assist New Yorkers in areas of education, housing and homelessness, immigration, family law and domestic violence among many others.
Mr. Goodman is the Co-Chair of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group, a senior member of its White Collar & Regulatory Defense Group and the leader of the firm’s Healthcare & Life Sciences Practice, and he spent six years as a member of the firm’s Management Committee. A Fellow of the American College of Trial lawyers, he routinely represents clients in a broad variety of matters, with emphasis on complex civil litigation, white collar criminal defense and internal investigations.
