Debevoise Partner Eric Dinallo Featured in AmLaw for Support of American Institute for Stuttering

Eric Dinallo, litigation partner and chair of the insurance regulatory practice of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is featured in The American Lawyer as chair of the American Institute for Stuttering (AIS), an organization that provides specialized therapy for stuttering and offers community support. As chair, Mr. Dinallo works to raise funds for the organization to provide therapy for those who need it. AIS recently held its annual gala, hosted by actress (and stutterer) Emily Blunt and honoring real estate entrepreneur Will Blodgett (who also has a stutter). Mr. Dinallo has chaired the AIS since 2020, and participated in a Q&A with The American Lawyer that year about the role stuttering has played in his development as a leader who is a stutterer. Debevoise & Plimpton LLP partner John Gleeson has been recognized as “Litigator of the Week” by The American Lawyer for helping overturn a billion-dollar trial judgment against BMO Bank N.A. (f/k/a BMO Harris Bank N.A.), as successor in interest to M&I Marshall & Ilsley (“BMO”), resulting in a remand with instructions to enter judgment in BMO’s favor. This ruling marks the culmination of a years-long legal battle involving allegations that BMO, as successor-in-interest to M&I Marshall & Ilsley Bank (“M&I”), aided and abetted one of the largest Ponzi schemes in U.S. history.
